Blogging
Web Development
HTML-Kit - By far the best code writing program for HTML and PHP and it’s FREE. Hundreds of plugins available and built in FTP.
MWSnap - MWSnap is a small yet powerful Windows program for snapping (capturing) images from selected parts of the screen.
Windows Applications
- PINs is a free feature-rich Windows program for safe and comfortable storing of any secure information like passwords, accounts, PINs etc.
- 7-Zip is a file archiver/compression tool which can achieve very high compression ratios with its native format, and improved compression ratios over PKZip/WinZip. Features support for: 7z, ZIP, CAB, RAR, ARJ, GZIP, BZIP2, TAR, CPIO, RPM and DEB.
- Startup Control Panel is a nifty control panel applet that allows you to easily configure which programs run when your computer starts.
- Startup Monitor is a small utility that runs transparently (it doesn’t even use a tray icon) and notifies you when any program registers itself to run at system startup.
- Clipomatic is a clipboard cache program - it remembers what was copied to the clipboard even after new data is copied, and allows you to retrieve the old data.
- OpenOffice is a free multi-platform office productivity suite. It includes the key desktop applications, such as a word processor, spreadsheet, presentation manager, and drawing program, with a user interface and feature set similar to other office suites.
- TightVNC is a free desktop remote control application allowing you to control other computers on your network or on the Internet.
- TheGimp is a photo retouching, image composition and image authoring program that is licensed under the GNU General Public License.
Audio
MediaJoin is software that enables you to easily join (combine) all popular audio and video formats into a single merged audio or video file. Formats supported include MP3, WMA, WAV, OGG, AVI, MPEG-1, MPEG-2, and WMV. Optionally include audio tag information for combined output audio files. MediaJoin is freeware.
an API (Application Programming Interface.) Currently, w.bloggar is compatible with all tools that implements Blogger API, metaWeblog API, MovableType API, b2 API; all based on the XML-RPC definition. Thanks to John Hesch for putting this on his “ Applications I Use †page. I will be taking a look at one or two of the other items he lists there as well, although I’m not a programmer/coder in any sense of the word. It’s fun to try though! lol, then I bet you haven’t tried TSW, I used to used HTML kit till this came out, and the author of the program was like 15 when he debuted his Program, and its Free.
