Echoing my thoughts and interests

The computer has got me a little burned out. I have been spending a lot of time on the KZION website rewrite and it’s getting to me. I really wanted to get it released with the new KZION rock station but it’s not going to happen.

I need to take a break from writing code. There are a few different areas that have me stumped and I’m tearing my hair out trying to figure them out and I think that’s leading to the burnout. I have a lot of new music to add to KZION so I’ll take the weekend and work on that.

BloggingPro has also been a little slow lately. There are just not a lot of new plugins and themes being released lately which I guess is good. Give me an opportunity to take a break. BloggingPro now has 560 feed subscribers and gets over 4,000 unique visitors per day. The site was removed from planet.wordpress.org for a short time because I wasn’t providing full feeds. I went ahead and changed over to full feeds for now. During the time I wasn’t listed my traffic dropped but my Adsense revenue stayed the same.

I started two new blogging projects. I soon found out that I not only don’t have the time for them but I also don’t have the passion for them. One was a listing and mini review of celebrity bloggers and the other one was a blog on web hosting.

  1. Susan Said,

John, RELAX a while, you are working WAY too hard and YOU really desevre a break, before you go crazy and pull all your hair out and become bald! Ü

  2. Matthew Said,

I know how you feel. My days have been filled with coding in the past weeks. This may sound a little harsh but sometimes when my head is bangiiing of the wall while coding, I back up my work and start fresh. Usually it works out for the best. Good luck.

  3. Chuck Said,

Hello John, I am new to KZION and am so impressed with your efforts… I just thought I would ask a question and if its dumb.. Sorry… I would think if I had an internet station like yours I would go online and find the most affordable “transmitter” (I think that’s what there called) that can transmit your station to any radio station in the house… This would solve our problem and I could more easily convince my kids to tune in to GREAT music… I know the Crutchfield catalog has one but I am worried it wouldn’t transmit the signal far enough. Then offer this in a package to raise money for your station..

I’m not exactly sure how to look for your response.. Thanks For All You Do!

    Chuck

  4. Susan Said,

Chuck, e-mail John at john at kzion dot com for your questions. Welcome to KZION Chuck!

  5. John Said,

Susan, be sure not to use my email address with the @ sign on the Internet as spam bots will pick it up. If you have to use an email address type it like john at kzion dot com.

  6. John Said,

Chuck, yes FM transmitters are cool. I use one at home so I can get KZION on any stereo system in the house and even up to a mile from my home. I built mine from a kit but you can find them online pretty easily and they’re reasonably priced.
